You don't understand what is happening apparently. There is nothing in that article that addresses my situation. The images is shifted toward the top. When I ran that Self-Test page, the "T" mark was about 1/16th inch from the top and the bottom "T" was about 7/16th inch from the bottom. How do I adjust this?

John. I'm having the same problem. I must have realigned my cartridges three times. The only thing I can say after doing this is that it seems to be straightening out. Not completely but much better than it was.

Found it!  This has been plauging me for months.

In the properties of the printer, click on the Advanced tab.  Then under "Printer Features", turn "Minimize margins" to "ON".  This will remove the huge-for-no-reason bottom margin.

This has nothing to do with paper tray or realigning cartridges.  Just HP printer driver software.

Thank you for the tip. Changing the minimize margin setting to "ON" was the trick.

Why this isn't the default setting I can't understand. Will probably save paper when printing web pages.

I have been having the same problem with my Deskjet 3054. When I print, it cuts off the top and adds extra space at the bottom. Realigning does not help at all. I cannot seem to find the same options to fix this that worked for the j6480. Any advice?
