paper jam and noise

Had paper jam which I cleared, paper feed picking up paper but only taking it so far. After cleared paper and followed all options on help section it is making a horrible noise when it tries to work and is still only taking paper so far. Then get paper jam error, clear it again and get cartridge error too. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks

All of the paper is gone and out of the machine?

Yes, followed all the help screens and made sure that there was nothing stuck anywhere (as that seemed most obvious problem)

It sounds like when you were removing things that something was moved, stretched, or ground against something else to its limit. Try to take the ink cartridge carriage and move it back and forth. It should seem to move smoothly, and there should be some kind of vibration to indicate that it is still attached to a working motor. Make sure the printer is unplugged and off when you do this, and get back to me on your findings.

The cartridges seem to be moving fine. The noise seems to be coming from the paper feed.

Hmmmm...this really isn't my specialty. Give me a little bit to look at this problem.

Thanks, have just tried again and it didnt make the horrible noise that time, but once again, only took the paper so far.

Paper jam - cleared it - cartridge error - replace cartridges

Okay, so the problems are still there. Not really sure what to do anymore. Printers are not my specialty. Let me look more at the problem.
