I installed a photosmart c4580 on my laptop and desktop. The install maps a drive letter as Z: for what I'm assuming is the card reader. I use drive Z for another mapped drive that is only mapped when I need to use it.
The card reader isnt even working on the printer so the drive letter is useless and now is causing conflicts with a letter that I need to use for another application.
Does anyone know how to keep it from mapping this drive Z or to get it to map to a different letter.
I did find that it uses "printers ip>\memory_card" as the mapping so I tried to map letter T .. this worked but as soon as i reboot ... I get a map on Z again as well as the one I forced to T.
I need to find a way to keep this from making a Z drive every time i reboot but I have gone through all the settings and searched the net but cant find any information on this and I cant seem to be able to contact HP for any assistance.
Any help would be appreciated... I'm sure someone else has had problems with the drive conflicting with another mapped drive
Thanks in advanced,
John
