Re: "please insert plain white paper for calibration" message does not go away

I have inserted the paper in the printer several times when the message was displayed. The printer just cycled the blank paper through. I replace the cartriges when the indicator says they are empty; 2 days ago was the most recent.

Hello,

  • Unplug the Power Cord of the printer while it is ON.
  • Wait for 30 seconds and then Plug in the Power cord.
  • The printer would initialize and start up the Alignment process. It would then print an alignment page.
  • YOu would need to place the Alignment sheet on the scan bed , printed side facing down, and press OK.

Let me know if the above steps resolves the issue you are facing.

Re: "please insert plain white paper for calibration" message does not go away

Hello,

I sense that it could be an priner hardware issue .

Please try the below step, if the issue still persists, then for sure its an printer hardware issue and the printer need to be serviced.

  1. Make sure the printer is Powered ON.
  2. Unplug the Power cord of the printer.
  3. Press and Hold # and 6 while connecting the Power cord.
  4. Release the button (# and 6 ) as soon as you see the HP Logo on display.

Alignment process would be started .

Try printing and if the error messag still pops up, then the printer has to serviced.

Jabzi
