My supply levels show plenty of ink in each cartridge. This is a printer that I have not used for a while. Now every time I try to print something, I get an error on the printer that says to please replace expired cartridges. I power off and back on and sometimes I can get the message to go away. Other times I am not successful. When I am able to find the right combination, the print is great. Now I'm printing a new document and the error message on the screen on the printer was cleared by pressing OK. However the printer dialog on my computer still has the nagging error message to replace the expired cartridges. And it wlll not go away by pausing and resuming the printer.
I'm sure HP just wants me to buy new cartridges every 6 months whether I use them or not. But to halt a good working printer that has sufficient ink in it is unfounded and rediculous. I'm tired of wasting so much time on this crap.
Does anyone have a way to work around this? It's a shame that HP can't support me. They have to rely on customers to support themselves.
