6310 All-in-One All Lights Flash when scanning multiple pages

When I scan more than about 8 pages, all lights on the 6310 flash and state a Power Reset is required.  I also have the same result trying to send a 14 page fax from the fax log.  To me it appears to be running out of memory but I thought it used the PC for that.  I am connected via Ethernet.  When I scan a smaller amount of pages, all works fine.  When I fax directly from the 6310, all 14 pages transmit fine.  There is nohing in the manual or online that seems to cover this question.  Has anyone seen this and resolved it or is it just a limitation of the product?

have 6310 that suffers the same issues. repeated On/Off cycles do not correct problem. anytime unit starts to demand lots of power (e.g. during intensive printhead movement or scanner bar travel) the cycle power reset msg appears. can't even complete the print cart align process w/o failing again. guess this one is headed to the landfill.

This may happen if the power cable is connected to a surge protector or a power strip. try connecting it to a wall socket directly if it isnt.

Wow... Thanks, that seemed to fix it. That is the last thing I would have thought of!!! Living in Florida, we surge protect as much as we can, to bad this product is designed so close to the edge that a surge protector causes it to fail during heavy use. OK enough complaining, really thanks for the solution...
