C7180 Scanning error using HP Solution Center

C7180, model Q8200A, Vista 32-bit, wireless network: When scanning from HP Solution Center error messages stop the program- "The program could not find any available destinations to which you can send scans....Please reinstall the Photo & Imaging Software to restore destination information" and "an unexpected error has occured". The HP Solution Center will print, and the C7180 will scan to a memory card using its control buttons. I have uninstalled and installed the photosmart full feature driver software package many times to no avail. Any ideas? Is there a "Photo & Imaging Software separate from the full feature package?
Thanks in advance for any ideas. I did call tech support but they seem more interested in selling new printers than resolving technical problems.

Thanks so much for this suggestion. Unfortunately it did not fix this issue. The program cycled through the diagnostics, fixed a couple of issues, but on the last step got hung up on 'front panel' problems, not sure what this means. The error message at that point referred to not finding destinations for scan. Any ideas?

Follow the steps in the following document. You have already ran the SDU, so you can choose to skip this step or re-run it.Let me know what you find out?

Thanks again for your support. It appears there are no destinations in the Scan settings pages of HP Solutions Center. The 'Scan to" fields are empty and no way to edit them. Under Button Settings, clicking on the ,Destinations List Set Up' button generates an error message to reload imaging software. The 'destinations that save options' field is empty and not editable. The 'save options' button does have a destination address which appears correct. What do you think is up here?

Try uninstalling the software, and then reinstall it using the most current version from the following link.
