CONVERTING SCAN TO EDITABLE TEXT on PHOTOSMART PREMIUM C309g

I have a similar problem with my new PHOTOSMART PREMIUM C309g. I have downloaded and redownloaded several times. I just don't seem to be able to download the OCR.  I cannot scan and edit word documents. It always scans as an image. I reported this problem and the printer was replaced only yesterday. The new printer has the same problem. Any one with a solution to this please!! ChrisO

There is a new software solution for Windows 7.  It should allow you to scan to a doc, rtf, or txt file. It will not scan directly to Office 2007.
