HP Pro 8600 Officejet Plus. Sheet feed scanner will not scan full legal document--does anyone know where this setting is?

I checked the product specs and it does support legal scanning. Depending on where you are scanning form and what you are scanning to, you can change the settings in diffent ways. For links to different documents that will are specific to you, click here. Or if you would like, let me know your OS and where you are performing the scan from, and I will get you a specific document.

I've refined my issue to one specific concern--I can't scan a legal document from the printer's sheet feeder to my computer wirelessly from the printer's control panel. I "traded" my 8500 Officejet Pro because of the flimsy and inconsistent scanning abilities of that sheet feeder in hopes of a better experience.

I see. Sorry I must have been confused abut what you were needing at first. Try doing a hard reset.
To do a hard reset:
1. Make sure the printer is on.
2. Pull the power cord form the back of the printer.
3. Wait 30 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.
Also, make sure the firmware is up to date. The firmware is the software inside the printer, and upgrading it may clear up the problem. You can find out how to check for firmware updates here.
