@tom48va

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Probably Windows 10 buries HP Printer Assistant in HP group/folder. Please try

(a) Hit Windows key,

(b) Scroll down apps down to HP group/folder,

(c) Expand HP group/folder,

(d) Right click HP printer and Pin to desktop.

You can also Pin to Taskbar from desktop if you wish

Regards.

Hello,

Normally, after the Printer software installation is complete, you'd see  Envy printer icon on desktop.

If you dont find the HP Envy printer icon on desktop, you can create one. Please find below steps that should help you doing so.

goto Control Panel > Devices and Printers > right click on the printer icon and then click on Create ShortCut , click YES  to create a shortcut on the desktop.

Hello,

I'd suggest two steps that should resolve the issue.

  1. Check for Windows Update, download and install them. Now try double clicking the shortcut. If it doesnt work, then go to below steps.
  2. Uninstall the printer software, restart the PC and download the printer software from http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers and install the printer.
