Thanks for any help in advance.

I'm not really a printer/mfd guy, but I know my way around a printer. I recently worked with our vendor Gateway to fix an issue with this MFD earlier this week. It was powering off when receiving a fax and also unable to print a config page from the admin menu.

We reset the device and I set it up from scratch (configuring  ip/ network protocols/ adding scan buttons / changing default pwd / snmp.) The fax issue was resolved and also the config page issue. I have the 2 worst users  at our company that everyone knows of and just sighs when you mention their name.  They've brought it to my attention that the device is slow now when scanning documents through the top document feeder. Any help is appreciated so I don't have to deal with these people. 

Now I just want to clarify the issue is with the speed that the document feeder is pulling the paper through not the time it takes to create the pdf or tiffs using the buttons pinned to the home screen.

Changed the Default Color Preference from Automatically detect to Black/Gray and saved a micro fraction of a second between pages.
