I hate this. I know what is causing the error, but I don't know how to fix it. There is a corruption in the file that determines the save destination. It's sending the file to a nonexistant folder, and thinks they are saving to a folder that exists. You can try changing the destination folder when it scans, but I'm not sure if it will save to the right folder then either. Try that and let me know what happens. If that doesn't work, I'm going to have to bring this up at our next team meeting to get some idea of what needs to be altered to get this to work like it should.

I really appreciate your help. I have tried choosing another folder for the scan to go to but that didn't work. I remember seeing another "fix" on your website somewhere from a forum or something that had me going into "KEY" thing and creating "destination" or some such thing, etc. I might have done it wrong but whatever I did it didn't work either.
Thanks for continuing to help and trying to find out what's going on. Let me know at your team meeting if there are any other ideas. I really do need my scanner right now so I can work from home instead of making extra trips into the office. Thanks again.

I have a L7680 Officejet Pro connected via network. The scanner stopped working. I reloaded software and drivers multiple times, but no luck. When I try and scan the error message just says reload software. I ran the test offered by HP and once it came back as no twain found on PC and another time it stated twain was being used. I am at a loss.

I have the exact same problem as the OP. I am running a fresh install of Windows 7 and a fresh install of version 14 HP all inone software. I also tried the scrubber software and reinstalled with no joy. I tried HP support but their only response was that the printer is out of warranty and they couldnt help. What kind of response is that? The version 14 software needs a patch or re-write.

I should have added that I am using Windows 7 64 bit system connected by USB to an HP OfficeJet L7780.
