We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Installed today; everything works fine but will not scan in color, greyscale only...

Hi,
Assuminug you have a Mac and you are scanning from the front panel of the printer, the default scan workflow configured to scan documents as Black and White. Make sure to change the scan settings to scan documents with color:

1. Open the HP Utility and select your device.
2. From Scan Settings open the "Scan to Computer".
3. Click the Scan Tasks tab.
4. Select the affected shortcut and click on Edit... (or just double-click the shortcut).
5. In the section of Scan from an HP Device click on the blue triangle or the Show Details button to enlarge the menu.
6. From the enlarged menu now open the drop-down menu next to Mode
7. Now select the Color option and then click on OK to save the changes. The next scanned document using this workflow will appear in color.

 

If you use a different operating system please clarify your OS and software used to scan.

Hello,

I followed the instructions carefully but there is no such thing as "mode" when I reach the screen (attached).  None of the other clicks take me to color.

I hope you can help - I have a MacBook Pro.

I am having the same issue as Sharona. I do not see a mode. I am also using an iMac.

Hi, I am using a i mac computer. 

The problem I have is my HP Envy 4500 wont scan anything in colour.

It used to scan in colour but not anymore

Does anyone have any ideas?
