Fax is not working with U-verse phone line. Please help!

Fax is not working with U-verse phone line, sending or receiving. I have an OfficeJet Pro 8500 Wireless All-in-one.  It worked fine with a regular land line but it's not working with U-verse lines.   Any suggetions?
