I've been happy with my HP G3110 scanner ... until a few months ago when I got the error 'Unable to communicate with scanner'.
I've checked connections. They are fine.
G3110 is selected in Device Manager. And it shows up on the System Preferences control panel.
I tried plugging USB directly into computer (taking it out of the router where it had been working fine previously).
I checked the scanner hardware per HP instructions. It is working fine.
I'm not sure if I did anything at the time that error message first occurred.
What to do next?
