HP 6500A Plus doesn't scan double sided

Via the embedded web server I see a 6500 E 710n-z printer and not the 6500A Plus. Is that possible the reason why I can't use the duplex document feeder? And how do I repear this?

Hi,

 

As far as i can see your unit does not have duplex scanning capability, as the only option in the menu are

1-Sided Original / 1-Sided Copy    
1-Sided Original /2-Sided Copy
