Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

In our business, we have the need to copy our work orders with whatever form of payment is provided by our clients. The HP 8620 will not copy currency-it starts to copy as usual, but stops and cancels prior to actually printing out a copy of the money with the work order. This happens only when copying currency, on either black and white copying or color copying mode, and not when copying checks or anything else.

Is there a way to bypass what I can only assume is an anti-counterfeit setting?

The US restricts copying currency at full size, but allows at reduced or expanded sizes, single sided only.  See the page here:  http://www.secretservice.gov/money_illustrations.shtml

I just tried on my Officejet 8620 and sure enough, it stopped printing a $20 bill within an inch or so, whether the bill was loaded perpendicular or at a 45 degree angle to the sides.

I tried making a copy at 50% size, this did copy correctly.  I did not try other sizes, but the law would allow <75% or > 150% copies.

Thanks!

Yeah I noticed that years ago. Not sure how the copier "knows" it is currency but you cannot do it.
