HP D110a scanner issues

 

I am running windows 8 developer beta and I am having issues using the scanner, basically the scanner is not recognized, other than when I go into Devices and Printers there it shows the Printer and has it labeled as a Copier, Scanner, and Fax but other than that I am unable to use the scanner in Windows 8.  Now I've tried to install the software from HP and it is not supported in Windows 8.  Even if I try I get an error and the setup aborts. Is there a way to manually put the scanner drivers in?  Or which drivers are they if I extract the install package?  

 

I am using the wireless connection with the printer.  Printing works fine its just it doesn't  see the device as a scanner.

Hi,

 

Windows 8 currently is not even a Beta version yet therefore I don't think vendors (any vendor) want to release drivers for their products. Many products now can not even run under Windows 7. Users are screaming about that.

 

I believe they are testing in their labs and will release around the same time with Windows 8 GA.

I understand this. . But still the issue at hand . . Printer works fine, but how do I get the sanner working?  The subjet is still open and on the table for others to proved theyre options.

ok, again, just now finished uninstalling and reinstalling the complete software package and still no

scan. I keep getting the same error messages. Either get the scan drivers updated or replace my HP without

scan it is worthless.
