HP Deskjet F4180 Scans & Prints but will not copy

I recently bought a used HP Deskjet F4180 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier. When I hit "copy" on the printer, the printer makes scanning noises, and I can see it scanning, but it prints out a blank page. I know the actual scanner works because I have no problem scanning to the computer, and I know the printer works, because I can print from the computer.  Running Windows XP

Hello PMFrank

Try resetting printer sometimes it can help resolve peculiar issues like this. Since the printer is able to scan there shouldn't be a problem copying.

Thanks for the reply.  I am unsure what you mean by resetting the printer.  If unplugging it resets it then I have already done that.  I agree that if it prints and scan ok then it sould copy as well, but again it scans but then produces only a blank page.  i had the same model printer before and the copy worked fine.
