Re: HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw FAX problem

Are you only using the online faxing service to check this? Or are you also having someone send you a test fax?

Re: HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw FAX problem

I can look at this issue for you.  Can you let me know which firmware revision you are using - if you print the configuration report it is the field labeled Firmware Datecode:

Also can you look in the embedded web server and see what teh settings in the System Tab - EcoSmart console:

Sleep Delay, Power Down Delay, and which boxes are checked for Wake on These Events.

I work for HP but my posts and replies are my own opinion.

Re: HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw FAX problem

I have not been able to duplicate the issue.  What type of phone line are you using - phone company, PBX, VOIP?  Is there a reason that you are using fax/tel answer mode instead of auto mode?

Re: HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw FAX problem

you have done the test with another  hp pro 200?
I use a conventional telephone line with ADSL standard the operator is wind / Infostrada Italy ( no voip, no pbx).
no particular reason for using tel/fax, but with the automatic mode the problem continues the same.

Advise me to contact support?

Re: HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw FAX problem

I tested with another HP pro 200.  I have not been able to duplicate the issue you are seeing.  I would change back to Auto mode.  In fax/tel mode the unit has to recognise the ring signal, and then recognise the CNG tone from the sending fax machine before it will receive the fax call.  In Auto mode it just has to recognise the ring signal.  I am still not understanding why the wake on ring is not working.  Will your unit wake up if you unplug/plug in the phone cord?

The IT managed setting (vs. Self managed) will disable the smart install feature, and the auto firmware update feature on the device.  In large corporations where devices are managed by an IT department they do not like these features on since they like to control the firmware revision and drivers installed. I think this is set during the installation of the product.

Re: HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw FAX problem

hi, initially i used the auto answer mode but after several tests i changed tel / fax and remained that. Today i put the automatic mode did a test but the problem has remained,in status: power down mode with automatically answered after 5 rings or tel / fax does not wake up the printer to receive the fax
Given that with another 200 pro m276 the problem does not occur, Monday i will contact hp support
and let you know.

For now tnk at all.

p.s.

I tried to unplug  and plug  the phone cord from the fax and the printer goes quietly in the ready state.
