HP Officejet 5610xi All-in-one

Can the HP Officejet 5610xi All-in-one scan photos, and upload to my Mac OS X 10.5.8 ?  I want to sent photos as email attachments.  Serial #CN5CUDG6PN, Product# Q7310.  When I try to scan it flashes refer to device documentation to trouble shoot.

I can scan a phoot and print it.

Scanning from the printer to the Mac takes some setting up.

Try scanning from your Mac instead

Go to Applications -> Hewlett Packard -> HP Scan and click the scan button

Once it has scanned you can go to File -> Save and save the image to where you'd like

Now create an email and attach the image

If there is not Hewlet Packard folder in Applications then you don't have the software installed.

Your reply led me on a path to discovering how to scan from my computer.   That is how I get things done on a computer sometimes.  The solutions come through trial and error.  Thanks again for your advice and encouragement.
