HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One

We have this connected via wireless.

Prints OK.

Copies OK.

Scan..?

No J6480 icon shown anywhere?

Cant scan from J6480 [No Scan Options]...to computer/file.

Have gone into the ''programs file/bin''' and copied a link [Files/HP/Digital%20Imaging/bin/Shortcut] to the desktop that allows me to run the scanner from there.

Very confusing.:smileymad:

Have done in/uninstalls....no change.:smileyindifferent:

Re: HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One

I am also having the same problem. I looked at the online users guide and it says that the software has to be installed. You can tell if it is installed by looking at the bottom right corner of the screen. I see nothing there indicating HP is in. I tried reinstalling the driver using the HP website, with the easy installation. Still, when I hit the Scan To button on the printer, it says "No Scan Options"

Re: HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One

I AGREE...  SAME PROBLEM.  MANY UNINSTALLS AND REINSTALLS...     NO ICON IN LOWER RIGHT AND THERE IS NO OPTION ON THE SOFTWARE DISC TO INSTALL ANYTHING ELSE.  NOTHING ON HP.COM TO DOWNLOAD.

WILL SOMEONE FROM HP ANSWER US.??????   BEFORE I RETURN MINE TO THE STORE.....

Re: HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One

Hi,

Follow these document step by step to resolve the issue.
If DIM is running and destination list populated proceed uninstall/reinstall the driver. Run the scrubber after uninstalling the driver.
To find the scrubber follow these steps:
1. Load the Installer CD
2. Right click CD/DVD ROM Drive (drive where you load the CD)
3. Click Explore>Open Util folder>CCC>Uninstall L1,L2 and L3. Don't uninstall L4.
4. Restart your computer then proceed reinstalling the SW.

If you are from Australia you can contact HP Tech Support on this number 1800-721-147 and for New Zealand 0800-441-147. I don't know for some other countries.

Re: HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One

I am trying to uninstall everything and then reinstall. However, on reinstall, it doesn't see the wireless printer anymore. However, going to the IP address of the printer via Internet Explorer still works fine.

Re: HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One

AlmostThere,

Thanks for the advice.

I'm still having a hard time figuring out how to get the Digital Image Monitor installed.

Do you think it is better to install from the driver or the CD?
