Can someone help me? I have a 1610 all in one HP that "will not scan I get the message that I need to install or run decive software for feature" everytime I try to scan.

 

What does this mean? How do I fix the problem? I have a Mac Lion 10.8 computer and would like to use my scanner. Thanks!

Can someone re-explain this for a Apple person who doesn't have a CD? and seems to always get the message that HP no longer has software for my 1610 all-in-one? Thanks!

Hi bridgey95,

 

Follow the steps in the document below to install this printer on Mac OSX 10.8, and there is also a section on How do scan with the driver from Apple Software Update.

Install the printer using the current version from the website that provided a link to the download for this printer.
