After installtion, cannot open HP Director.

May I know if you are using ie 7 browser, if so you can download the patch to open HP Director after installing IE 7.

Please open internet exploerer and click on Help and check with about internet explorer.

There you can check the informaton regarding the version.

Hi i really dont how to use this site yet but was woundering if you could help me i have an hp 2410 all in one and when i frist turn it on it freezes up stays with a hour glass and also the scanner light makes this grinding sound kinda and then i cant print or copy or even scan

hi Sandra - I have just come on line with the exact same problem - the all in one was working fine, nothing different had been done, and then today, it just started freezing - the cycling noise but no paper in the feeder, and the hourglass frozen in the view.  It didn't even help to unplug everything - it came right back.  Did you get any help on this?  Thanks - Kristy

Don't know if this helps--we have the same problem, and I followed the troubleshooting directions on cleaning the 2410 on HP's website (I believe it was under the noises section). The noise went away and the 2410 functioned properly afterwards.

Now, though, a week later, it's doing it again, so I don't know if this is a temporary fix or not. We use the machine only a few times a week, so we turn it off after each use. I would assume, if you could get it working, and you didn't turn it off again, the problem would not reoccur, because it seems to be a warm-up/initializing problem.

I also tried the "partial reset" but it couldn't reset properly because it couldn't get past the initializing.

Let me know if this helps, or if you have any other suggestions. We are planning on purchasing a new machine because it's incredibly annoying

I have a problem that is a little different than the above but still to do with HP Director. I uninstalled the 2410 and its driver, reinstalled everything (in the correct sequence) and noe when I try to start HP Director I get the error message "Initializer for HP.CUE.Gallery. ImageManager.Keywords" threw and exception" and everything closes down.  Can any one help me with thisd please.

Actually the previous comment is incorrect. The problem I am having is with HP Image Zone and HP Document Viewer (same eror message for both.) I tried to download HP Director as an alternative drive and can't.

I've had this great computer and printer for some time.  Running Windows XP with all updates.

For some unknow reason about 1 year ago I could no longer fax.  Before this, it faxed perfectly (outgoing & incoming.).  Now it only faxes incoming.  I've tried many times to fax out bound and it just goes to the fax log saying ERROR..  Trying to RESEND, does not work either.

Any help out there somewhere ???
