Found the hpqxmlul.dll1 file and followed instructions changing the name and pasting in the bin folder but scans still disappear. Very frustrating!! Would expect HP to add a download that works or correct it if it doesn't work. And this didn't work!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.   Finally the SOLUTION to the SOLUTION CENTER PROBLEM and disappearing scans.   WOW, this has really saved me big time.  THANKS So much.   FULLY Functional.  HAPPY HAPPY

Seems to have done the trick but not sure why the fix can't be incorporated into the download?

And - it took an age to locate the solution on the HP site.

WHY CAN'T HP FIX THEIR DRIVER DOWNLOAD?

Unfortunately, (as stated by several users) the fix that was released does not solve the problem for all users

 

Btw, in case it helps from what I can tell (and remember - since ca solution was not available from HP, I found my own fix/work around this an moved on long ago), the remaining problem may be related to the default file locations embedded in the Solution Center.  It seems that there are TWO default paths saved, both do not exist on many computers.

 

It looks like ONE of them was fixed in the patch that was released.  As far as I can tell (for me at least) if you initiate he sccan from the Solution center the patch that was released fixed the problem (on my PC anyway).

 

However if I initiate the scan using the button(s) on the printer, the problem still existed.

 

For anyone who still has the problem, you might check the set up for the scan buttons for where scanned files are saved, and confirm that the directory reflected there actually exists.

It seems that you are correct. When I try to initiate a scan from the printer's panel, I get an error pop-up saying "the LCD list needs to be updated" Whatever that means. Now what do I do?
