i am having a problem scanning because the HP solution center buttons are all blank. I have tried uninstalling the printer (HP Photosmart Plus B209 a-m) and reinstalling, using the updated installation version found on the HP website. That didn't help so I used the diagnostic tool and got the scanner to work for the test scan but when I went to the solution center to do another scan it is just a blank shell. I have a Compac Presarrio running Windows 7 (64 bit).
I used to use the scan function all the time without any problems but it wouldn't communicate wirelessly; I had to connect with a usb to use it and also had to have a second printer software installed to run it. Then one day I plugged in the usb and the solution center popped up but there weren't any words in the buttons and clicking on them does nothing.
I can't remember all the updates that have been loaded since I last used the scanner. I did have a problem awhile back where the printer kept dropping from my network and wouldn't communicate wirelessly to print. I did do some kind of diagnostic tool to correct that and it worked. I can't associate the two because I am not sure when the scanning problem truly started.
Please help if you can. I am getting really frustrated with this whole mess and would appreciate it immensely.

The most common cause for a blank Solution Center window is Flash Player being out of date, try updating that first.
If for some reason that doesn't help, try running all available Windows Updates.

mkp87, Thank you for your response, unfortunately I did update my adobe flash and windows but it did not fix the problem. It seems like there isn't a printer associated with the solution center but I don't want to mess anything up by exploring. If you have any other ideas please let me know.

I have some more information I would like to pass on to you concerning my problem with the solution center for my Photosmart all in one.
I have narrowed down the problem to the HP Digital Imaging Monitor program. When I try to open the solution center from here it does nothing. I can access my scanner using the workaround I found in a help file on HP. I have to go to the actual HPiscanapp to be able to scan. At least I can scan for now but would really like to find a solution to the original problem.
So if any of you tech savvy people have a suggestion please feel free to chime in.
