nan70,

The hp website says that it should be available on Window's Update (link).

Are you saying the Windows 7 drivers for the Scanjet 5500c are NOT available or are you saying they ARE available to work in Windows 7 by using Vista drivers?

I'm using a Scanjet 4500C in Windows 7 x64 with the HP software for the 5590 scanner.

Here's how: http://theconstantmeddler.blogspot.com.au/2008/11/how-to-really-make-scanjet-4500c-work.html
