I have owned a HP 1355 printer since 2007. Upon changing both ink cartridges this last time and after purchase, the printer seems to develop a fault; whereby, when attepting to print, from a word document, nothing is printed. That is to say it is pending in the printer folder. In addition, every time I switch it on, it prints a test page. I have managed to scan docs, but not to print from my Dell Dimension 9200 computer. I am using Vista Professional.

Note; I have unplugged it, replugged and awaited for the USB & Vista to locate one another, but still the same fault!

Has anyone heard of this problem? If so, what can be done to resolve it?

Re: HP1355

just found out you need to "scan" in your test page as the printer realigns itself after a new ink cart is installed. It will keep doing this until you have completed the alignment process.

With regards to the not printing bit make sure you give the rollers (take back bit off) a good rub with clean damp cloth as if they are dirty it wont pick up the paper correctly. (make sure you take power out first!)

hope this helps.
