Re: Hello, HP!!!! Attention HP All-in-one users: massive problem with software!! Is it a virus??

I can't scan from the HP Solution Center now either. I can use Paint and Windows Photo Gallery, but these programs don't allow me to scan multiple images at once. Which is the main reason I purchased this printer in the first place. I am using a C5540 all in one.

I have tried uninstalls, restalls, and all kinds of things from the help center, and Abigail insists that she really cares about my problem, but going on three days now and numerous e-mails, and I still have the original issue.

Has anyone else been able to resolve this? My tool buttons and the finish button do not work now from a HP Solution scan and the original scan and another button off to the right are flashing like crazy when I try to scan. The picture will scan but then the finish button is not highlighted for me to save.

Has anyone else had this problem successfully resolved? I'm to the point that I'm with the person who bought another brand!

There is a work around for this if you have Vista. I am having the same problem and so far as with everyone else no luck getting it fixed. If you have windows photo gallery you can scan from that program. The only problem of course with that is it sits in that file and is in a jpeg format.   That so far is the ONLY solution I have been able to get to work.

You can also use Paint. Did anyone realize that if you're using this machine to send faxes-you can't, since the scan function doesn't work. Has anybody figured out how to send a fax with a non functioning scan feature?

Hi Everyone,

This thread has about 20 topics within and has been thread-jacked so many times, it is unclear what the subject is. If you have an existing or new concern, lets take this to a new thread or find one that is more appropriate. I'm going to lock this one to encourage threads that stay on-topic.

Thanks!
