hello,

my office word is version 2009

os is windows xp.

I found a solution like this.

1- scan to file (pdf)

2- convert the pdf to word with a "pdf to word program"

this is really ok........but it is not normal that the software of HP dir not provide this in there scan program.

First scannining...then converting.....takes a lot of them.

but I think I will never again buy a printer from HP if it is not possible to scan to work.

Microsoft Office 2007 has scanning already built in. In fact it supports Optical Character Recognition (OCR) as well. I'm not sure of version 2009 did you perhaps mean 2010? In which case Microsoft released a patch to allow the same feature from 2007 to be installed for Office 2010.
