How can I scan a document with mutiple pages into a single file?

Hi

I have a HP 3070a and Windows Vista. The printer and scanner are setup correctly.But there is something that puzzles me:

How can I scan a document with mutiple pages into a single file?

I start the HP Scan software and choose pdf or tif as format. The option scan to single file for each page is is unticked. Once I have scanned the first page there is no option to scan additional pages? I have got Back, Save and Done

Hi,

The following free software may help (indirectly). You can use it to megre many PDF files or spilt a big PDF files onto many smaller PDF files such as extract one chapter of a thick book.

Thanks. So does that mean the HP software can't do it? What is the option Save each page in a single file for?

Also there is an option to go back and forth between pages, if you'd manage to scan more than one?

Hi

The HP software disables multipage scanning when the resolution is higher than 300 dpi. So the resolution of the issue is to reduce the scan resolution to 300 dpi or lower.

Thank you for sharing your resolution. Some printers and software versions only allow up to 300 ppi when scanning multipage documents.
