Hi @CaptainHanson,

Thanks for exploring the HP Support Forums with your scanning inquiry.

I understand that you are using an HP Officejet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer with a Windows 10 computer and you would like to scan film negatives and slides. I will help the best i can.

I started researching this by checking the HP Officejet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer Specifications only to find that scanning film negatives or slides is not something supported with this printer.

I have searched hp.com and found and have not been able to find an all-in-one printer that does what you are wanting to do. Something from the HP ScanJet series might offer that feature, depending on the model.

I don't understand why my HP 5740 all-in-one printer has an obvious section at the bottom of the scanner bed that is the perfect size for scanning film if the scanner won't scan film!
