Hp deskjet 1050 j410 doesn't work as scanner on windows 7 home premium 64bit

Hello
I've bought a HP Deskjet 1050 J410 and i've installed it with the driver from the Hp's site. My pc has Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit version.
It print normally but it doesn't work as scanner, neither with the HP Scan utility (it doesn't run) or the Windows scan utility.

How I can scan with it?

Re: Hp deskjet 1050 j410 doesn't work as scanner on windows 7 home premium 64bit

I, too, have bought Hp deskjet 1050 two days ago, and it doesn't even print on windows 7 home premium 64 bit ... It scans , however : d

I tried to install the CD , but it doesn't work ... I visited the website for the latest version of the printer drivers .... it, also , didn't work :smileysad:

specifically it shows an error ( error - printing ) .... when I run the troubleshot, it resolves the problem and it does prints the paper ... but, unfortunately, I discovered that I have to do so each time I need to print a single file ... which really sucks..

can anybody tell me what to do ????

thaaanks

The same problem. Win7 HP x64

Scanner not working, some applications shows that TWAIN driver is not responding. Cannot open HPScan.exe utility, it's doesn't starts.

Re: Hp deskjet 1050 j410 doesn't work as scanner on windows 7 home premium 64bit

the problem usually lies with the WIA (Windows Image Acc) Service not running,

The WIA, and its dependencies all need to be set to automatic (including Remote Procedure Call (RPC) and Shell hardware Detection)

and that should fix your problem!!

[SOLVED] Hp deskjet 1050 j410 doesn't work as scanner on windows 7 home premium 64bit

[ Edited ]

When service ShellHWDetection is stoped and disabled, there are problem with starting WIA service (stisvc). WIA have two magnet service include RPC. Both services should always be enabled. Just enable it and TWAIN driver will work properly and scanner program will starts.
