I cannot scan and my hp solution says cannot run because device installation is not complete

I am using windows 7 64 it. My printer is HP Photosmart eStation All-in-One Printer - C510a. I am using a wireless network and a notebook. Earlier my printer was not working, so I reinstalled the program using the cd, but now the hp solutions won't work and I cannot use the scan functioning. When i try to use it the scan feature on the zeen it just says I am unable and to use the software the printer came with. I have no idea what to do. I have to be able to scan as well as print. I don't want to uninstall or use the cd again because it took hours for me to get the printer to work. Please help and thank you

Hello frustrated_37,

Based on you description, i recommend you 2 steps mentioned below ..

1. Run the s/w CD, YOu'd be prompted with Options like  Add a Device, Install more software etc.. Click on "Install More software", Click on "HP Solution Center " if present.
2. Accessing the root file resonsible for scanning to work. To do so, you need to Click on START  > Computer  > Program Files(x86) > HP > Digital Imaging > Bin . Locate for the file hpiscnapp.exe , right Click on it and then "Send  to Desktop" > Desktop (Createshort cut).

Double click on the short created which would open the scanining interface.

Thank you so much for replying. I clicked on  "Install More software" and all I got was Install recommended. There is no  "HP Solution Center "present. I was also unable to locate  hpiscnapp.exe. Now what? I have a project due Monday. Please help and thank you.

Ok I finally found hpiscnapp.exe  and when clicked on it it says "Hp imaging device not found" Uninstall the device or put the cd in. I have already done the cd a couple of times. What the bloody blazes am I doing wrong?

thank you it's all fixed. had to reinstall the cd again and this time everything actual worked..crossing fingers to staying that way. Thank you for all of your help
