I have an HP 1210v All-in-One printer the scan feature stopped working?

I ran the HPPSdr.exe untility diagnostic tools 2.0 and it said I have an HP TWAIN Scan Error, A required component was not found or was improperly installed. Uninstall, reinstall the HP IMaging device and try scanning again. I went through that test as well as their guided solution and it is still saying HP TWAIN Scan error, Registry, HP SCAN flow Manager. It sent a test page and it still produced the error. The scan button only blinks On/Resume and a scan will not start, then the light is steady again. The error number produced was 4,[0,0,80040154), (2,68,8004001c),(0,0,0),(3,68,0)]   I have win 7 OP system now so some features I can't use but I was still able to use the scan button prior to this development.

If you were able to scan on Windows 7 previously, you were getting lucky.  According to this document the scan, copy, and PhotoSmart Essentials buttons will not work.  You should still be able to scan using MS Paint though.
