I switched from an XP platform to a Windows 7 and can no longer get the HP icon on my desk top

I have an HP 4500 wireless all in one and have switched operating platforms.  I went from Windows XP to Windows 7 due to the purchase of a new laptop.  I can no longer get the HP Solutions icon to appear on my desktop and cannot scan.
