Immense problems installing software OR trying to send HP Support an email

Hi

I downloaded the all in one software for my HP Photosmart B110 so that I could install the software to use the scanner but when I came to run and install the software the display offered me one option - EXIT....

Is this because my PC is running Windows 8 Consumer Preview??? ... I would have thought HP would be well on top of this...

So I tried to send the support guys an email.... errr you have to provide SN and Product No.... their useless form checks and insists that the product No should be 6 digits .... NOOOO mine is 5 digits ..... GOD I wish someone at HP would get their act together.... its stuff like this that makes me switch to other brands...... there is NO way you can send anyone at HP an email ... anyone know the CEO email address????

Any help would be appreciated

Re: Immense problems installing software OR trying to send HP Support an email

Hi zubo01,

Have you put this same question into the Windows 8 forum?  I know that HP is not releasing drivers until Windows 8 is actually released by Microsoft.  We don't have the version you are testing until you do, so we can't develop drivers ahead of time.

Windows 8 could have a driver for your printer so you would just attach the printer by USB and see what happens.

I am an HP employee.

Re: Immense problems installing software OR trying to send HP Support an email

I find it inconceivable that HP do not have access to major OS ahead of a launch of the OS. You may be right I do not know. What actually makes me very angry is the unbelievably lack of reply and support from HP Support and that is why I will never ever buy another HP product. Even now, nobody in a support role bothers to apologise and give me any indication of when the software I need will be available. I hope HP continues to fail and gets broken up, it does not deserve to succeed with this arrogant could not care less attitude. George
