Install HP Digital Imaging driver ONLY

I have a Photosmart C6180 AIO and do not want to install the entire suite of HP software on my PC's. I have installed the print driver only and that works fine. I am able to scan from my PC's by accessing the printers built in scan app (via browser). However, I would like to be able to initiate scans at the printer and it appears this can only be done with HP's Digital Imaging Monitor installed. Is it possible to install this without installing the entire suite of HP drivers/software on the PC?

If you want to be able to scan from the printer, then please install HP Solution Center. That will send a list of programs to the printer, from which you can select where you want to scan it to.
