I am trying to scan to a network drive on my Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) PC from a HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus
I have set up a folder share using Samba on my LMDE which my windows 7 PC has no problem accessing
I am able to send scanned files to shared folders on my Windows 7 PC and my windows 7 PC running on virtualbox with no problems.
However when I try and test my shared folder in LMDE it does not work either using the host name or the direct IP address
Before I go any further is it even possible to do this and if so where can I get additional setup information
