I have the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g. I have the HP Digital Fax Mode set so that incoming faxes are saved on the network folder. Currently, when a fax comes in, it both prints the fax and stores a PDF of the fax in the network share. I don't want it to do both. Just save. Don't print.
Is there a setting where we can prevent it from printing to save on paper (and ink)? I'd prefer to just browse my incoming faxes as PDF and print only those I really need to. I would love the option to turn off printing incoming faxes and just have them save to the network share.

I have done....took a while but it was very simple after i worked it out. All you need to do is:-
1. Using the screen display on the printer
2. press the spanner (top, middle of the screen)
3. press basic fax setup
4.Digital fax
5.Fax print
6. and finally click off
Iis that easy. I was searching through the settings for ages until i stumbbled upon it.The hardest part about this process for me was getting to run through my exchange server....quite the task.

Thanks DeanMillman!
I guess I should have gone through ALL the menu screens. Honestly... I don't know if I like this touch screen business. I'm missing my physical OK button on my OfficeJet Pro 7200.
With regards to your battle of making this work with Exchange - did you do a write up on it?
Thanks again! It works!

Why is this option not entered in EWS?
Thanks !!!!

Got the answers for not printing faxes for those who have the 909 model. What about the 910 model because I don't have the same options on my priinter screen? Also would like faxes to be saved as pdf files versus tiff. Can that be changed?

I'm trying to setup the digital fax folder on my pc from my Officejet 8500 and every time I use the wizard, follow the steps, and run the setup test, it always tells me that my password and username is not correct (Windows). I put the name that was assigned to me and my password and still can't pass the test.I don't know what else to do. I just want to save the faxes on my pc to save ink & paper, but I can't get past this problem. Can someone please help me? Thank you.
