Accepted Solution

M1212nf MFP do not receive faxes automatically - always have to press to receive fax.

It was all ok when we bought thing - it was working for a few days without issue.

And then just stoped to receive faxes automatically. It is set up to answer automaticaly after 5 rings (tried all, min and max - do not help). Now it  needs to press button manually, then it prints it. Line - analogical, with phone attached to aio. Not dedicated fax line.

Did reset to factory defaults and set it up again few times, does not work. New firmware - didn't help either.

All other works just perfect - scaning, printing, sending faxes over network from 12pc (winXP, win7).

Any ideas ?

Re: M1212nf MFP do not receive faxes automatically - always have to press to receive fax.

I'm having th exact same issue. I looked at the document you linked to which has general troubleshooting tips if the fax doesnt work for Outgoing or Incoming - which is not the issue.

I also could not find anything in there on entering into the Deleoper Menu, which appears to be what led to his fix.

By chance could you provide some more information on what steps were needed to fix this issue? Thanks!
