I'm using an HP Deskjet F340 All-in-One with Win7 Ultimate, HP's Solution Center software and/or Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro (using the WIA option, not the TWAIN option, although I've also experimented with the latter to no avail regarding this particular issue). I'm mainly scanning (to pdf) household paperwork, like brochures, statements and correspondence. To save time, I want to preview and adjust the scan area/size, resolution, type (mono, greyscale, colour) and then, having checked the first page comes out ok, I just want the scanner to just keep on using the same size/area/resolution/darkness/contrast etc etc settings for subsequent pages until I change them again for the next job. I've tried reading the help files both for Acrobat and for HP's Solution Center and playing about with settings in both, but I just can't seem to streamline this process. If I configure the presets in Adobe, for example, for grayscale document, I still have to preview and select the size/area (again!) for each new page or fiddle with the darkness/contrast for each individual page if they are too faint. I'd be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as I'd like to resume a life outside of household admin... ;-)
