I have a new scanjet G4010. If I just turn on the power it makes a loud "clicking" noise (7-8 clicks / rata tat tat type noises - very fast) before it becomes quiet.
If I plug in USB, the computer finds it however if I try to scan something - it does the same clicking noise.
In my old scanner, there used to be a "protection" tab that I could engage/disengage to help secure the printer during transportation. Does this HP scanner perhaps have something similar?
If i plug in USB, the scanner is found - however when I go to scan, it makes the same rata tat tat sound.
Any help appreciated.
