OfficeJet 6500 Scanning Problem

1. Product name and number: OfficeJet 6500 E709n

2. Operating systen:                Mac OSX 10.6.8

3. Error message:                   Sorry, an unknown error occurred.

 

When I run "HP Scan Pro.app," the scanner runs (I can hearit) but I get the above Sorry error message.

 

If I click on "New Scan" again, I get a message that the program may be unstable.
