OfficeJet J6400 installation trouble (photsmart?)

Hello All,

I just installed the J6400 software from the CD with no error message.

However, I do not have the HP digital imaging monitor at my system tray. That is why I cannot use the COPY function.

* According to the help, the photosmart software needs to be installed in order to generate the monitor icon.

But there was no photosmart installed. At least there is no shortcut available.

* I tried to manually start the photomsart core and essential msi, but nothing happened

* The solution center was not installed either, but this may be due to the OS (Win2000), correct?

I would try to reinstall the software, and this time, select "custom" instead of let it do the default.

In custom mode, you will be presented a list of packages to install, make sure select Solution Center if it's selectable. If not, then it's not supported on the OS.

has anyone had experience with magic jack and trying to fax

I cannot get fax to go through

I turned off error correction and tried at all speeds  and i also updated magic jack to vista

I have photosmart 6150 all in one

I tried! In the custom install, I cannot choose packeges at all. It just lets me cut off email notifications, and I can choose the installation directory, that's all.
