OfficeJet Pro 8500 AIO - How do I Copy two- sided originals to a two-sided copy?

[ Edited ]
I just got an HP OfficeJet 8500 all in one pro (not the wireless) with the 2-line lcd screen.  How can I make 2 sided copies from 2 sided originals?  In the PDF manual, it gives that option under the control panel (color display) as 2-2.  However, I have the control panel (two-line display), and it just says to pick 1-side or 2-side.  I put collate on as well.  When it runs, it only copies the top side of each page of the originals.  Let me add that it does the same thing when scanning to a PDF, only scans one side of the paper.  Please don't tell me this is not available on this printer, it's the main reason I bought it!

Re: OfficeJet Pro 8500 AIO - How do I Copy two- sided originals to a two-sided copy?

I found somewhat of a workaround.  I started a scan, and had it scan side 1 of page 1.  Then when it was done with that page, I quickly flipped it over to side 2 and put it in the ADF.  It then scanned that side automatically without me hitting anything.  I did this with the next 3 pages, and eventually, the software sent all 4 pages, in correct order, to my PC.  Took forever.  I intend on trying this method for a copy tonight.  What a pain.

The answer is on page 114 of the user manual.

Re: OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910a - How do I Copy two- sided originals to a two-sided copy?

I would like to scan two sided documents using this product. Is there any way to do this other than page by page?

Just wondering if you found a solution.

There is no option for 2-2 (2-sided originals to 2-sided copies) on the control panel under Copy Settings (HP Officejet Pro 8500A).  Only 1-1 and 1-2. Weird!

What was the solution to this issue?  On the older models this was very intuiative and easy to do..

HP Officejet Pro 8500A, eA10a, A910a:  Just go off the chat room about this model.  Apparently it does NOT support making double sided COPIES.  You have to do it the old fashioned way.  Saw a lot of posts about this so it should be clear now.

There are paragraphs on poor quality.  But nothing on using the ADF to make a two sided copy onto 1 page.

@jordanacapra, if you select copy and go over to the 2 sided option and select 2-Sided Copy, what happens when you make a 2 sided copy?
