We have a Officejet 7310 hooked up via network that has the two issues below I need to resolve:
1) It will not fax. When receiving a fax it will just ring and ring and ring. I changed the rings-until-answer setting from one to two but it made no difference. What could be the issue here - or what should I try next??
2) I cannot figure out how to scan to a PDF. As of right now it will only give you the option of saving the scanned document as a TIFF file. I checked every scan options menu I could find but could not locate a "save as" option to enable PDF. This is using the HP Director software. My next try was going to be reinstalling HP director...but I do not see it available for download. (I installed the latest Adobe Reader too)
I also tried the program Scan2PDF (as a workaround) with no avail. It gives me an error about the document not being loaded or something (but that's unrelated to my main issue) - ALSO, the windows scanner & camera wizard will not detect the scanner, although the scanner combo TWAIN device is shown in the control panel. Arghh....
If anyone can help me with these issues I would be oh so grateful!

Did you install Adobe Acrobat AFTER you had installed the printer and software? If so, uninstall printer software and then reinstall. It cant scan to pdf if the pdf option was not there upon original installation. This may also help with the fax problem. Hope this helps.

I also have this problem but not the fax. Do i uninstall acrobate or all my printers first then what do I do? Install both acrobate and printers back?
