OfficejetPro 8600 issue w/black copy button get vertical lines thru whole copy from margin to margin

have an hp office jet pro 8600 windows 7OS ... issue is with the black copy button - when I am trying to make a black copy I have vertical lines going thru whole copy from margin to margin. This printer is only a month or two old. When I copy a black copy and use the color button it comes out fine. The only equipment used when making the copy is the printer itself.  Any suggestions as to what might be the issue?

 

Scanning I do not have any issues either.  Thank you for your help.

Are you scanning from the ADF - Automatic Document Feeder?

 

What happens if you make a black copy from the scanner bed?

It also does it when i copy from the sanner bed.  Haven't use this machine much.  I am disappointed.

Download and update the firmware on the printer, and then let me know if you still experience the same issues?
