Save as PDF task not found on your device

I have been scanning documents to  my imac to "Save as PDF" .  Without any changes, this afternoon I am getting an error message. The "Save as PDF" task found on your device is not available on your system.  Please select another task.  I get the same type of response when trying to save it as a JPEG.

I have the same problem. I'm using macosx too.

Yesterday I updated hp drivers using Apple Update system.

Then system starts to say: " Save as PDF task not found on your device"

Has anything changed recently since it last worked? Mac updates etc? Perhaps something change the way the software works.

Have you tried re-installing the software. If not I suggest trying to re-install the printer software.

yes, the problem started after "Mac updated on Hp drivers".

I will try to reinstall HP software.

Reinstalling the HP software the system backs to work.

I'm using macosx lion.

The systems stopped to work after the macosx HP driver software update.
