Trying to install software for HP ScanJet 3200C. Have Windows 2000. Message comes up that product does not support Windows NT. Product requires Windows 95 or 98. Is this product obselete? Why is it finding NT? Is there any way to make this thing work? I have another PC with Windows XP.

Windows 2000 is an NT based operating system. Anything that doesn't work with NT does not work with 2000. It *sometimes* works with XP, but that's a gamble.
You might try installing a driver for a different scanjet to see if that gives you the basic capabilities, but I'm not sure which driver would work best.
